 Every missionary that goes to the field faces a similar dilemma. Going to the mission field for many means making a sacrifice, but certainly we want to make sure the needs of our families are met—not just financially but also in reference to our children’s’ education.
In Cebu we are fortunate that there are options. Several years ago the missionary community formed a small school called Joy Christian Academy. JCA exists to meet the educational needs of missionary children in Cebu.
Each year, we are looking for teachers for our small K-8 school. It is an American curriculum and the teaching is in English. Do you know anybody that might be interested?
Here’s a few things we’re looking for…
- Graduate of any four year college course (it is a plus but not required to be a certified teacher).
- Have a heart for missions and be willing to live overseas.

- Must have a love for children and a desire to teach.
- Like all the missionaries represented in the school, be willing to raise your personal support
